The incident was recorded on Monday evening, at around 9:30 p.m., on Via Vittorini, when Local Police officers noticed an Audi moving suspiciously. According to the preliminary investigation, as soon as the driver was signaled to stop for inspection, he is suspected of immediately accelerating and speeding away, triggering the police chase.

Several officers were involved in the operation, including officer Francesco Imprezzabile, a member of Milan’s Local Police. During the pursuit, the situation reportedly got out of control and colleagues lost contact both with the suspect vehicle and with the officer’s motorcycle.

Shortly afterward, the service vehicle was found stopped by the side of the road, while not far from the scene the lifeless body of 39-year-old Francesco Imprezzabile was discovered. According to the authorities, he had suffered cardiac arrest. Although medical teams intervened immediately, the officer could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The case has prompted a wide-ranging investigation by the Italian authorities, who are working to reconstruct every moment of the chase with precision. Investigators are verifying whether there was direct contact between the fleeing vehicle and the police motorcycle, or whether the death was caused by an incident during the pursuit maneuvers.

For the moment, no lead has been ruled out, and technical examinations are being carried out on the vehicles involved, while security camera footage from various areas, including Milan, Peschiera Borromeo and Pioltello, is also being reviewed. Authorities believe this evidence will be crucial in fully clarifying the circumstances.

Two Albanians have been detained by Italian police as part of the investigation and are being questioned to clarify their possible role in the incident. The prosecution is expected to decide further on the measures to be taken and their legal position, depending on the results of the technical investigations and the testimony collected.

The incident has sparked strong reactions within Milan’s Local Police and local institutions. The mayor of Mazara del Vallo has expressed condolences to the family of the deceased officer, while police leaders have stressed that they are in constant contact with the family and are working to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.

Italian authorities emphasize that the investigation is continuing intensively and that every detail of the chase is being carefully examined to understand exactly what happened during that tragic night in Milan.

From this union, an artistic legacy is expected to emerge that, in addition to adding aesthetic value to the village, also seals a new phase in the long history that inseparably links Albania with its historic communities in Italy.

In Berlin, heavy rainfall and strong winds forced the suspension of outdoor activities and the evacuation of spectators from a tennis tournament.

Meanwhile, animal rescue centers in Belgium are reporting a significant increase in cases of animals stressed by the high temperatures, especially small birds threatened by the extreme heat.
